How To Learn From Reading A Book

How many books have you read last year?

If your answer is none or just one, you’d better start planning and read more books. Most people will never read any book after they graduated from their schools.

This is one of the reasons people fail to be remarkable in their lives. If you want to be extraordinary by creating amazing results in your field, you must strive to learn more and read more.

Think about it, if you read a book in a month, you will have read 12 books full of information in a year. If all these 12 books are in the field of investing in the stock market, do you think you will know better after you read the books?

The answer is very obvious.

There are no stupid people in this world, there are only people who are lazy to read and learn.

If you read a book in a month, 12 in a year and you keep doing this for 3 years, you will become so knowledgeable in that particular field.

And when you have the knowledge, you can create amazing results in your life anytime you want.

If you’re a usual reader of my blog, you will know that I always stress about reading and learning.

The problem with most people is that they don’t really know how they can learn from reading a book. For most people, they will just read a book, from pages to pages until the end.

In the process, they will feel great and excited because the book turns them on. However, after they have read the book, they will just put it aside, and nothing ever happen.

They never apply the knowledge or skills taught from the book. They did really feel great about it, but after a few days, their level of motivation will drop to normal.

This is what happening with most people.

You can read a book that teaches you how you can be rich, but if you are not going to apply the techniques in the book, you will end up wasting your time reading that book.

Therefore, make sure you digest and make full use of the book that you buy and read.

Here are some tips how you can learn from reading a book…

1. Read And Think

This is one of the best ways to learn from a book. Don’t just read, read and read. Once you read until a certain paragraph, take a pause and think about the information you have digested.

Most people will keep on reading without thinking. Remember, you want to learn from a book, not to finish the book as soon as possible.

Reading book is not a sprint, it is a marathon, just like success did. So take a short pause and think about the questions that the author throws at you.

2. Read And Jot Down Ideas

Another powerful way to learn from a book. Reading itself is not enough for you to remember what you have learned.

When you write down the points, you will better remember what you have just learned. This is why most of the authors will ask their readers to read with a pen and paper, so that they can write down whatever important points that come to them at the moment.

Or even better, get yourself a journal or a notepad that specially used to jot down all the important points or lief lessons that you have gone through. I have a few of these books, ^_^

3. Read A Few Times

Do you reread the books you bought?

I will reread some of my books, especially those that I found very inspiring. For example, Awaken The Giant Within, Chicken Soup - Living Your Dreams, The Success Principles and more.

When you reread the book, you not only strengthen what you have learned, sometimes you will even find something new from the book.

Rereading is a very rewarding habit. You don’t have to spend extra money to get yourself a new book, but you can still learn and get inspired by reading the same book.

If you’re skeptical about the power of reading and learning, just look at me.

I’m a nobody, but I believe that I’m providing great information from this blog and some of my e-books. And I believe you can achieve even better results than I do if you really want to.

So just decide to start reading and learning from today onward. And I would love to hear your success story, cheers.
